Narrow clapboard siding, six-over-six windows, and simple trim are true to the origins of this Early American design. The ''original'' part of the house contains the living room on the first floor; the master bedroom and bathroom lie above on the second. Both this bedroom and the living room have cozy fireplaces. The formal dining room and a second bedroom occupy the ''addition'' on the left. Here, a covered porch provides entry directly into the dining room. The lean-to at the back of the house is devoted to an old-fashioned country kitchen. There is space designed for modern appliances as well as room for the family to gather around the kitchen table.
